I was home schooled 1-12 and loved it.  My mother was a teacher so she had a handle on how the whole thing should work.  I don't recommend home schooling if you have not taught before.  Some of my friends came out with a very poor education while my bro and I came out almost over educated.  (I'd rather err on the side of more education than not enough!) 

Because of being home schooled I was able to volunteer with numerous organizations such as the Zoo, art museum, science museum, aquarium to name a few.  I am a well rounded adult and believe that this is in large part due to the fact that my parents taught us at home.
